For many installations, the seams are the most time-sensitive part of the installation.
Artificial turf seams may use polyurethane or other adhesive systems, and curing speed depends strongly on the actual adhesive formulation and environmental conditions.
It is therefore risky to state that every adhesive reaches usable strength in exactly 12–24 hours at 18–25°C.
A better rule is:
Use the adhesive manufacturer’s stated open time, initial cure time and full cure time, and adjust the installation schedule for actual site conditions.
Temperature, humidity, substrate moisture and ventilation can all affect curing.
Typical Practical Pattern
Normal temperature → normal curing
Lower temperature → potentially slower curing
High humidity / wet substrate → potentially different curing behavior
Direct water exposure before curing → may affect certain adhesive systems
This is why an installer should not simply apply a fixed “24-hour rule” to every project.
